the grain exchange room: remodeled version

Oooohhhh… boys and girls do I have a treat for you today! It’s pictures of the Grain Exchange Room, all newly remodeled and pretty. Holy cow is it pretty. (here’s where I insert pictures to make you forget that there is no actual written content in this post).

View as you enter the Mackie Building (the Grain Exchange Room is located inside the Mackie Building)

The GER is up the steps and inside those beautiful big wooden doors.

The view from just outside the GER.

EEK!  The GER!  Isn’t it FANTASTIC?

Heading up to the balcony.  All of the bars are on wheels, so we can put them wherever we want in the room!

The Balcony.

View from the balcony.

Cute detailed windows above the balcony.

The old dance floor had these awesome wooden details… we’re a little bummed that it’s gone, but the changes in the rest of the room make up for it.

The bathrooms are absolutely beautiful now!  They were just disgusting before the remodel…

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out!  Oh goodness.  I am going to be really sad (and really really happy) when this is all over.  I have a feeling that our wedding day will probably be the best and most fun day ever.  I’ll be sad when it’s over, but happy to have a cute hubby who cooks and does dishes.  Oh, and is hilarious.

We are all so happy for you! You are two of the nicest people we know and we’re glad you’re enjoying this exciting time in your life! It only gets better…and worse …and then better again and better again.
The room looks very nice ; we can’t wait.
Your wedding day will be fun but I have a feeling you and Jason ALWAYS squeeze all the fun you can out of life!

I hope those tables seat 10 people.
It wouldn’t be right to break up the Schneider Aunts & Uncles.
We may get a little loud so, you can put us in the back corner.
